And fortunately for those people, Fort McMurray employers, as well as those across Canada, are reporting a shortage of skilled truck drivers. The word on the street is there are a lot of jobs out there and not enough qualified people to fill them.

Different classes, different wheels

Different classes of licences lead to different job opportunities. Licences in Alberta go from Class 7 to Class 1. The minimum learning or licencing age in Alberta is 18 for all classes except for Classes 5, 6, and 7.
